Thus their page, 'Sharma Ji Ka Loudspeaker Aao Bajayein', was created on a popular social networking site to stem the evils of drug abuse, depression, women suppression and sexual harassment, among others.
With an aim to bring together like-minded people to resolve such issues, Sushant Sharma, Prithvi Chahal and Ashdeep Singh started the initiative two years ago. Ashdeep, a student of DAV College, Sector 10, and photographer, Prithvi, who is pursuing film and media course in Hyderabad, and Sushant, a graduate of DAV College, took suggestions from the public on issues bothering them the most.
On their zero-budget initiative, Sushant said, 'Our video series, 'Sharma Ji Ka Loudspeaker Aao Bajayein', is for the youth and by the youth. Here, we talk about subjects that bother us. It gives a platform to youngsters to share their ideas. Through each episode, we highlight a problem in detail.'
Prithvi, editor and concept writer, said, 'Everyone knows the problems prevailing in society, but no one is ready to talk about these. Our motive is to motivate the youth to talk about these to bring about a change. Suggestions by the youth give us a concept.'
Ashdeep, cinematographer of the programme, said, 'Complexities afflicting the youth are leading to depression. Usually, they are not able to discuss their problems. We give them a stage to share their troubles and suggest remedies.'
